Mia, the sweetest little French Bulldog with Spina Bifida, needed to get from Orlando to
Denver—and I was lucky enough to be her travel buddy! We met at the airport, and she immediately greeted me with kisses. 🐶💕
Then the weather decided to test us. Our flight was delayed two hours, so we hunkered down on a blanket, stayed curious, sipped some water… and just as we were 20 minutes from boarding, disaster struck. Mia had to go potty—and let’s just say her diaper didn’t catch all of it. The rest? Landed on me. 🙃
After a quick (and slightly panicked) trip to the restroom, I emerged looking like I had peed my pants. Mental note: always pack a change of clothes, even for short trips. ✈️🧼
Despite it all, Mia was a total angel on the plane—silent, sweet, and perfectly behaved. She’s now safe and happy in her forever home in Denver and settling in beautifully. 💜
So grateful to volunteer with SWATT and help these incredible animals get where they need to go—even if it means taking a little poop to the pants in stride. 😂🐾
